Treasure hunting on the beach

I grew up with The Goonies and Indiana Jones, so hunting for treasure has always appealed to me. Finding beach glass feels very much like treasure hunting – you never know what you’ll find. It could be 3 pieces of white, or an amazing day of 200+ pieces, including a handful of rare blues!

All of my beach/sea glass is genuine. Most of it (the pieces from Lake Michigan, California, Ireland and France) was found by me and my family. The pieces from Florida were a gift from a lovely woman and her adorable mother. The few Haitian pieces that I have were collected by a missionary. Nearly all of my English sea glass pieces were bought online (though I did collect a few in Brighton).I recently visited Ireland for the first time, and found a handful of pieces on the lovely rocky Killiney Beach near Dublin.

We also clean up trash from the beaches on our walks, because clean beaches are happier and prettier places to spend time.

Thank you for reading about me and my shop! Over on my blog I write about art, beach glass, travel, and my spoiled dogs:

In addition to making jewelry, I also like to take photographs during my travels. If you're looking for a pillow with a beach scene, or an art print of the Mediterranean (and much more), they can be found here:
