Sea Glass Earrings - White genuine sea glass earrings - silver wirewrapped beach glass jewelry - beach glass earrings - Bonjour Sea Glass
These tiny earrings are made from pieces of white sea glass that my mom and I collected from the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean in March of 2011. The last picture is the stretch of beach where we collected this sea glass.
You will receive the exact pair of earrings in the pictures.
Though white is a common color on the beaches of Lake Michigan, it was rare in France. Most of the pieces we found while digging through the rounded pebbles of the rocky beach were green.
Size: 1/4" wide by 1" long (including the earring post)
Color: White and silver
Material: French sea glass
Metal: Non-tarnish silver-coated copper
Earring wire: hypo-allergenic silver coated copper
EARRING WIRE INFORMATION
I only use hypoallergenic earring wires in all of my earrings. I have sensitive skin and a nickel allergy, and I make a test pair of earrings for myself from every new batch of earring wires. If they cause me to break out, I donate the entire package to charity. In the unlikely instance that you receive your earrings and have an allergic reaction, please let me know. It is important to me that every customer is happy with their purchase!

What is sea glass?
Beach glass and sea glass are different names for the same thing - people near oceans usually refer to the glass found on the beach as sea glass, while those of us near lakes call it beach glass. Sea pottery is created in the same way as beach/sea glass.
The action of the waves and the sand smooth the glass, just as sandpaper smooths the surface of wood. I only use authentic sea glass / beach glass in all of my jewelry.

CONSIGNMENT AND WHOLESALE INFORMATION
I am happy to discuss opportunities for placing my ornaments or sun catchers for sale in your shop. Please contact me via Etsy messages for more information.
If your jewelry or ornament darkens, and you don't like the look of patina (I love it!), it can be polished until it sparkles again.
Sometimes tarnish from metal can get onto the beach glass giving it a clouded or dirty look. A gentle scrub of a soft toothbrush with warm water and soap will clean it off.
Dry the piece (air dry or use a hairdryer) before polishing the wire.
Rub the metal surface with medium pressure. Non-scratching polishing & cleansing cloths work until the cloth is completely darkened. Polishing cloths can be found online or at local craft shops. I don't suggest using pastes or other chemicals to clean the metal of your pieces, because the chemicals could get into the tiny pores of sea glass and affect its appearance.
